Choosing the right planner can feel overwhelming, especially when there are multiple collections, formats, and finishes to choose from.
We get it - and that’s exactly why we’ve created this guide.
The purpose of this walkthrough is simple: to clearly explain what makes each Mrs Edgar planner unique, so by the end, you feel confident choosing the planner that genuinely works for you and the way you plan.
Let’s start with our most loved, best-selling planner of all time.
Why we started making planners
A few years into teaching, I found myself questioning something.
How was it that our full-of-love profession only had black and white planners? (I'm talking back in 2016. Millennial here!) Planners meant to hold our days, our ideas, our memories, yet felt nothing like the classrooms we created or the energy we brought to our students.
So I started making a planner that embodied our profession.
Vibrant colours. Playful elements. Artwork. Something that actually reflected how I felt about being a teacher.
And so, many late nights after school, long after the teaching day was done, our very first pineapple teacher planner came into existence.
Crazily, you were obsessed. And with that, Mrs Edgar was born. Oh, hey!
Ten years later, I'm sitting here writing about our 2027 Signature Collection. That pineapple planner? It was our first Signature Weekly Bright. Over the years it's been majorly refined (you’re welcome), and we've built out what is now an entire collection, though the foundation has never changed:

Our 2027 Signature Collection: An overview
This year's collection includes four planners:

Signature Weekly Brights
Our original. Our best-seller. The one that started it all.
What it is
This planner has always been deeply personal to me. From the very beginning, I was determined to create something that felt genuinely premium, right down to sourcing a coil no one else was using (hence the name "signature"). Within the first few years, we upgraded to a premium metal coil that lets pages turn easily, smoothly, beautifully, and holds up to the kind of daily use a teacher's planner actually gets.
It became so popular that what was once unique to us was eventually adopted more widely. But this planner? It's never stopped being the heart of what we do.
Who it's for
The Signature Weekly Brights was made for me. And it turns out, it was made for most of our teacher audience! It's been our best-selling planner year on year.
It's for you if you want a space that feels joyful, but works hard. Someone who loves colour, values good design, and needs a planner that can hold everything… from personal reminders and weekend plans, through to week-to-week school planning.
What's inside
Special Days Because when you're busy (and when aren't we?), it's genuinely nice to have your planner quietly remind you that Harmony Day is almost here, or that Book Week is coming up. We've kept the list intentionally shorter this release, so you can make it your own! Birthdays, anniversaries, the dates that matter to you.
Term overviews Spanning two full pages for clarity and space. Because a teaching term has approximately one million things in it, and you deserve to see it all at a glance without it all seeming cramped.
Flexible blank planning pages No right or wrong way to use these. But if you're stuck for ideas, we've included a guide on our Learn page with prompts and inspiration to get you started. I've seen these pages used for brainstorming, planning week to week, planning by subject, and personal goal setting.
Stickers Yes, they're fun to use, but they're also hugely practical! Designed specifically for highlighting dates, drawing attention to notes, organising your week, and of course, showing off your fancy pages. I hope you share how you plan with us!
Storage I once heard Shaynna Blaze say you can never have too much storage. She was talking about bathrooms. I was thinking: planners. There's a front slip pocket dedicated for your timetable (or vision board, or anything you like!). A double-sided pocket sleeve that holds A4 paper if you slip it in gently, hooray! Perfect for printouts and loose papers. And if that wasn't enough (it wasn't), there's also a frosted back pocket right at the end, because there's always something extra… probably those merit certificates you were meant to get done a week ago.
The weekly spread
This is where you'll spend most of your time. So I've obsessed over getting it right.
Because at the core of everything we create is this: I never want to waste a teacher's time, energy, or money. If this planner helps you feel organised, calm, and prepared, that flows into your classroom. And that matters.

The quieter twin.
What it is
If Brights are all about colour and expression, Neutrals are their twin sister. Same layout. Same functionality. Same experience, just quieter.
A warm blush-and-neutral palette for those who love a premium planner without the bold colour. The Signature Weekly Neutrals has been created for the teacher who wants everything the Brights offer, in a softer palette that feels just as considered.
Who it's for
If you love a clean, cohesive aesthetic, warm neutrals, blush tones, understated beauty, this one's for you. Everything inside is identical to the Brights: the same spreads, the same storage, the same quotes, the same stickers. Just a different colour story.

Signature Slimline
The minimalist cousin.
What it is
The Slimline is still a weekly planner. Still thoughtfully designed. Just stripped back to essentials.
It features a clean, black and white layout built for the teacher who wants clarity and simplicity without sacrificing quality. Because that's something I won't compromise on, regardless of which planner you choose. No bleed-through. No shadowing. Beautiful paper. Always.
Who it's for
This is for the teacher who doesn't need all the extras, and maybe doesn't want them. If your ideal planner is lightweight, no-fuss, and gets straight to the point, this is it. It's also a little more affordable as a result.

Neat term markers so you can still navigate at a glance (no tabs, but still clear)
No quotes. No stickers. No storage pockets. No tabs.
Weight and paper quality
At approximately 900g, it's our lightest planner yet. A lot of lightweight planners sacrifice paper quality to cut weight, I've never been willing to do that. Your pens still won't bleed through, and there's no shadowing, even on the lighter paper.
Signature Daily
The big sister. The one I've probably obsessed over the most.
What it is
Our Signature Daily has evolved more than any other planner, because it's been the hardest to get right.
A full day-to-a-page layout means space. But space means weight. And for years, that's been the tension: how do we give you everything, without making it too heavy to carry?
Last year, we trialled the Daily Duo, splitting it into two volumes. It was a big risk. And honestly? The response was mixed. I get it. This planner matters, and change is personal.
So in 2027, we went back to a single volume, and we've made it the closest to "just right" that we've ever achieved. I believe it's the best Daily we've made (although I'm slightly nervous about your reaction, you've endured a lot of change with our Daily over the years!). I can't wait to hear what you think.
Who it's for
The Signature Daily is for the detail-oriented teacher. The one who wants a full day mapped out, not just a few lines per subject.
But it does come with one caveat worth knowing upfront: to keep it lighter, we've only included relevant school week dates. Any dates where school isn't on have been removed.
So if you were hoping to use it as a year-round personal planner well past the end of Term 4, this one's not the right fit. But if you're happy to trade those unused pages for a lighter, more portable planner during the school year, I think you'll love it.
