Doubles Maths Games
Make doubles facts feel like a game — because learning them should be fun.
These Doubles Maths Games turn one of the most important early number facts into an exciting classroom activity. Students practise doubling numbers through engaging, hands-on game formats that keep them coming back for more — and the repetition quietly builds fluency and recall without anyone noticing it feels like work.
Doubles facts are a crucial building block for mental maths, addition strategies and multiplication — so the sooner students lock them in, the better. These games make that happen fast.
Why teachers love it:
- Builds fact fluency — repeated, enjoyable practice cements doubles facts in long-term memory
- Student-led — once explained, students can play independently or in pairs
- Easy to differentiate — adjust number ranges to suit your class
- No-prep to run — print, cut (or laminate), and play
Perfect for:
- Maths warm-ups and rotations
- Fast finishers and early finisher activities
- Partner and small group work
- Consolidating doubles after explicit teaching
- Take-home practice games
