Full Terms for the Competition are contained below:
1. Eligibility:
Submissions are open to Australian residents and persons who are 18 years old or older as of the date of Entry. Employees of Mrs J Edgar (“Mrs Edgar”), its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (together, “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in submissions. Submissions are not open to any individual in a jurisdiction where the Submission or the individual entering the Competition would be prohibited by law.
2. Agreement to Terms:
By submitting your work , each entrant warrants that You ("The Entrant") have read these Official Terms and agrees to abide by them. You must meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Mrs Edgar as final and binding as it relates to the submission.
3. Entry Period:
Entries for each Mrs Edgar Feature Artist are to be submitted to using the form above before 11:59 pm, 10th March AWST (“Open Period”). Entries must be received before the end of the Open Period. Weekly applicants sharing their artworks to #MrsEdgarFeatureArtist via Instagram will be drawn each week and published on our social channels. Prizes for shares will vary, but can include gift cards, stationery packs and more. All entries will be credited if shared to socials and permission asked via the email address provided.
4. How to Enter:
(a) To participate, you must create a design using the guidelines above.
(b) More than one entry is allowed per person.
(c) Entries that do not fall under our guidelines will not be eligible for judging. Entries that contain sexual content, violence, or promote discrimination against any individual or group or that otherwise contain content that in the view of Mrs Edgar is inappropriate, will not be accepted.
(d) The Entry must fulfill all submission requirements, as specified in these Terms, to be eligible.
(e) Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the Terms may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Mrs Edgar.
(f) Mrs Edgar may remove entrant submissions from eligibility at the sole discretion of Mrs Edgar if entrants use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent these Terms.
5. Prizes:
(a) Up to a maximum of two (2) winners will be selected by “The Mrs Edgar Panel”, (a team of appointed panellists), based on the criteria set out in section 6 of these Terms.
(b) Each Winner will receive:
- $1000AUD deposited into their chosen account shortly after winning.
- We will work with our successful entrant/s (once announced) privately to negotiate a fair commission or royalties reflective of the market and your pricing, not inclusive of the monetary amount paid. We wish to respect the entrant's terms of use of their artworks for print.
- 2 x teacher planers featuring their artwork.
- 3 x high resolution professional photographs of their work on our planner.
- An artist feature on our website, including a blurb about the artist, and links to their preferred site.
- Regular promotion on our social media platform throughout the 2023-2024 period.
- Our website and product packaging will also feature information about the artist with relevant links to their socials/website.
(d) Acceptance of submission constitutes permission for Mrs Edgar to use the Winners’ names and Entry for purposes of advertising without further compensation. Entrants will always be credited wherever shared by us, with links to your preferred site where possible.
6. Entrants Selection and Notification:
(a) The successful submittions will be chosen by The Mrs Edgar Panel.
(b) The panel may ask certain entrants to provide their original design files.
(c) The successful entrants will be notified via a private message, and/or comment on their Entry and announced via email and on the Mrs Edgar Instagram page within seven (7) days following the selection of the winners.
7. Rights Granted by You:
By submitting an Entry, You:
(a) represent and warrant that your entry is an original work of authorship by you, and does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If your entry infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, you will be disqualified at the sole discretion of Mrs Edgar.
(b) If the content of your entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, you shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mrs Edgar from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liability, loss, damage, costs or expense which Mrs Edgar may incur or suffer due to a suspected infringement of any third party’s right.
8. Privacy Policy: Mrs Edgar collects information from each entrant (such as entrant’s name, social media profile, your Mrs Edgar design and caption and any other details you provide in entering) in order to collect the submissions and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, specifically our marketing agency. Entry is conditional on providing this information. This section should be read in conjunction with Mrs Edgar’s Privacy Policy which explains how Mrs Edgar collects, stores, and uses personal information click here, which also sets out your data protection rights, including access and correction and how you may complain or raise a query about our handling of your information.
