Krisztina Jung
Krisztina Jung is a Germany based visual artist and pattern designer creating distinctive surface designs for wallpaper, fabric and home decor. Her work blends modern minimalism with timeless influences, drawing inspiration from nature, coastal landscapes, vintage motifs and Scandinavian style. Florals, geometric shapes and organic forms come together in soft, harmonious colour palettes that feel both fresh and enduring.
Her collections range from playful retro florals to calm, neutral botanicals and bold graphic statements. Each pattern is thoughtfully designed to bring warmth, character and balance into everyday spaces, whether featured as statement wallpaper or beautifully crafted textiles.

The Story Continues
I’m Krisztina Jung, a European surface pattern designer currently living in Germany. I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a professional artist, but the journey to get there was long and required a great deal of perseverance and dedication.
I studied Fine Arts and teacher training at the University of Pécs in Hungary, where a pivotal moment shifted my direction toward pattern design. While working on my thesis, I was introduced to Scandinavian textile design, which sparked my interest in surface patterns.
Soon after, I took a leap of faith and travelled to Frankfurt for an international textile fair, where I connected with a leading Italian design studio and was invited to Rome. That experience was incredibly formative, allowing me to learn both hand-painted and digital pattern techniques.
After starting my own design work, I took a nine-year break to focus on my family. I later returned to my practice in Germany, where I’ve now been living for over 18 years and working as an independent artist.
My work is largely inspired by nature - especially plants, flowers, and the four elements: earth, water, air, and fire. I’m also deeply influenced by Scandinavian design principles, which I discovered early in my journey.
Over time, my style has evolved from detailed, hand-painted realism to more minimal, simplified digital designs. I’m drawn to clean forms, balanced compositions, and thoughtful colour palettes that reflect a sense of calm and harmony.
I hope my designs bring a sense of gentle elegance into people’s everyday lives. Through soft colours and natural forms, I aim to create a calm, peaceful atmosphere that people can connect with.
It means a lot to me to see my work featured on products that are used daily - especially by teachers shaping the next generation. I hope my designs can bring a small moment of beauty and serenity into their world.
