Whole-Class Games
Ten games, zero prep, no equipment — fun the whole class can play in minutes.
Every teacher knows the moment: five minutes before lunch, a wriggly class after assembly, or a wet-weather day with restless energy to burn. This pack is your instant answer — a collection of classic whole-class games presented on bright, illustrated reference cards, each with simple how-to-play steps, a worked example and a handy teacher tip.
There's nothing to cut, prep or hand out. Just display the card or keep it on your desk, read the steps, and you're playing. Most games need no equipment at all — and the few that do use only a soft ball or a die you've already got.
Behind all the fun, these games quietly build the skills that make a classroom tick: focus, self-control, listening, memory, turn-taking and oral language. They're brilliant for settling a class, filling an awkward gap, rewarding good work, or simply bringing everyone together for a shared laugh.
Why teachers love it:
- Truly no-prep — display or read from the card and play. Instructions, examples and tips are all included.
- Little to no equipment — most games need nothing; a couple use just a ball or a die.
- Builds real skills — listening, focus, memory, probability, persuasive language and good sportsmanship.
- Endlessly reusable — these games never get old and work with any class.
- Beautifully clear — each game has illustrated steps and a worked example, so students grasp it fast.
Perfect for:
- Brain breaks and energy resets
- Transitions and those awkward five-minute gaps
- Wet-weather and indoor days
- Relief / substitute teacher days
- Friday afternoons and end-of-term fun
- Morning circle and team-building
What's included (10 whole-class games):
- Silent Ball — focus, self-control and listening
- Spelling Sparkle — a quick spelling game with a "Sparkle!" twist (use your own word lists)
- Greedy Pig — probability, risk and reward with a single die
