Letter Q
Celebrate the quirky Queen of the alphabet — your Letter Q display card is here!
This Letter Q display card is a beautifully designed classroom resource for teaching students about one of the most unique letters in the English alphabet. The letter Q makes the /kw/ sound as in "queen" — and it's almost always followed by the letter U, making it a fascinating letter to explore! This bright, eye-catching card is perfect for your alphabet wall, literacy display, or phonics corner.
Whether you're introducing Q as part of a systematic phonics programme or reinforcing letter-sound knowledge, this card gives students a clear, memorable visual reference featuring the key word "queen."
Why teachers love it:
- Distinctive sound focus — highlights the /kw/ sound and the unique "Q always needs U" rule
- Bold and bright design — visually appealing and easy to see from across the classroom
- Key word support — "queen" gives students a memorable anchor word for the /kw/ sound
- Pairs perfectly — works beautifully alongside the full alphabet display set
