Christmas A-Z Challenge
Christmas and literacy go hand in hand — and this A-Z challenge proves it.
This Christmas A-Z Challenge is a clever and engaging printable literacy activity for Australian primary school students in Years 2–6. Students work through the alphabet finding Christmas-themed words for each letter — a simple concept that generates surprisingly rich vocabulary, spelling and creative thinking practice. It's the kind of activity that keeps the room productively quiet during those last festive days of term.
Aligned to the Australian Curriculum English strand, this no-prep instant download is ready to print straight away.
Why teachers love it:
- Vocabulary building — challenges students to think beyond obvious words and expand their Christmas lexicon
- Independent work — students can work at their own pace with minimal teacher input
- Differentiation built in — the challenge naturally escalates as students work through the harder letters
- Zero prep — instant download, print and go
