Australian Months and Seasons
Teach the months of the year in an Australian context with this engaging seasons display resource.
One of the things that makes teaching time in Australia unique is that our seasons don't match the Northern Hemisphere calendar many resources are designed around! This Australian Months and Seasons resource celebrates that difference, helping students connect each month to its Australian season in a way that makes real-world sense. Perfect for calendar time or a dedicated unit on Australian weather and seasons.
Why teachers love it:
- Authentically Australian — uses Australian seasons, not Northern Hemisphere ones
- Connects months to seasons — helps students understand the relationship between months and Australian weather patterns
- Classroom display-ready — print, laminate, and display on your calendar or science wall
- Curriculum-aligned — supports science and HASS learning about weather and seasons
Perfect for:
- Classroom calendar displays with an Australian focus
- Science units on Australian weather and seasons
- Year 1 and Year 2 HASS and Science activities
- Prep and Foundation daily weather and date routines
- Cross-curriculum links between Maths, Science, and HASS
What's included:
