25 Easter Word Problems Foundation
Keep maths skills sharp right up to the Easter break with these 25 Easter Word Problems for Foundation — festive number stories your youngest students can actually read!
The last weeks of Term 1 don't have to fizzle out. 25 Easter Word Problems Foundation gives your students 25 short, festive number stories — counting on, joining two groups and taking away, every one using numbers to 20 and mapped to the Australian Curriculum v9. Suits Foundation, Pre-primary, Prep, Kindergarten and Reception.
Each problem is a task card with the story on the left and a generous WORKING OUT panel on the right, so students can draw, tally or use counters to show their thinking. Two identical A5 landscape cards print on each A4 page — cut them apart for a maths rotation, or give every student their own.
A guaranteed hit in every Foundation classroom every Easter!
Why teachers love it:
- Written to be read — two short sentences and a question, one step, numbers to 20
- The whole thing is done for you — 33 pages of cover options, a learning intention page, 25 task cards and a full answer key
- Curriculum-linked, not curriculum-adjacent — a tick-box success criteria page with "I can" statements against ACARA v9 codes AC9MFN01, N03, N04, N05 and N06
- A picture on every card — bunnies, chicks, eggs and jellybeans, matched to the story, so early readers have something to hold onto
- Not a single repeat — no number fact here appears in our Christmas Word Problems pack, so a class that did those still gets completely fresh practice
- Photocopier friendly — clean black and white, no heavy ink, no grey fills
Perfect for:
