Homophones on display, every day — because out of sight really does mean out of mind.

These Homophone Banners are a bright and beautifully designed printable classroom display for Australian primary school students in Years 2–5. Featuring commonly confused homophones (their/there/they're, to/too/two, your/you're and more), these banners create a permanent, visible reference that students can consult while writing — reducing errors and building awareness of one of the most persistent challenges in English literacy.

Aligned to the Australian Curriculum English strand (Language — Spelling) and available as a no-prep instant download.

Why teachers love it:

  • Constant visual reference — having homophones on the wall means students actually check them while writing
  • Curriculum-aligned — directly supports spelling and vocabulary content in the Australian Curriculum
  • Reduces marking frustration — you'll see fewer homophone errors once these are on the wall
  • Zero prep — instant download, print and display

Perfect for:

  • Years 2–5 Australian primary classrooms
  • English spelling, vocabulary and grammar lessons
  • Classroom literacy displays and word walls
  • Writing process support and independent editing references
